Art as Therapy
For me, creating art isn’t about making something beautiful for others. It’s about allowing whatever needs to come through to flow freely onto the canvas. Each brushstroke becomes an act of trust, a dialogue between my heart and the unseen, where intuition leads and judgment steps aside.
Art has become a sanctuary—a way of expressing what words often can't touch. Through painting, I reconnect with my inner child and my spiritual nature, giving space to feelings, memories, and energies that long to be seen and embraced. Art, any form, like visualisation, can become a bridge between the conscious and the sub conscious, and the super conscious.
Painting invites me to explore emotions and experiences without having to explain or analyze them. It also allows me to feel frequencies that are higher than in my usual day to day. Sometimes a chaotic composition reveals inner turbulence; other times, a small, tender figure might whisper of vulnerability. Through symbols, colors, and textures, I give form to parts of myself that were once hidden.
Rather than focusing on the outcome, I focus on the process—on being present, letting go, and allowing healing to unfold naturally. The art I create becomes a living witness to my journey: moments of release, renewal, and quiet understanding.
Over time, these pieces form a kind of creative journal, tracing the path of inner growth. Looking back at them reminds me of the resilience, beauty, and depth that live within.
Integrating a regular creative practice into my life has been a gentle yet powerful way to nurture my inner child and stay connected to a deeper current of life. Whether painting, singing, dancing, or writing, what matters most is giving space for authentic, playful, and soulful expression.
Through this ongoing dance with color and spirit, I continue to heal, reconnect, and come home to myself.Painting as Therapy: Healing Through Creative Expression
Art is not just about creating something aesthetically pleasing; it is a form of self-expression, a channel for our deepest emotions, and a tool for healing. I have always believed in the power of art to unlock parts of us that are often overlooked, especially when it comes to connecting with our inner child.
